Thanks for stopping by to share your hot ideas (and hot air) about how small businesses can create affordable, effective marketing systems.

If you were to choose a pizza company to order from, would you pick 30 minutes or an hour for delivery? Common sense says 30 minutes. Now, when one company guarantees 30 minutes or it’s free? Even better!
When you are marketing your business, you should always have a reason for people to want to work with you. You need a USP. Your Unique Selling Proposition. The best way for you to create an image for your company is to offer something that no one else can.
Domino’s was one of the first to have an extremely powerful USP. Fresh, hot pizza in 30 minutes or less…or it’s FREE! They knew that there was a lot of competition when it came to pizza delivery, so they thought long and hard about the market and came up with a few things

1. People like hot pizza delivered in a timely fashion
2. No one promises pizza in any set amount of time
3. They have a pizza quality that competes with the competition, if not better

Their USP worked amazingly back then, and they have even brought it back, re-vamped with the new slogan “You got 30 minutes”.  New wording, yes, but the same idea and the same strength.

Now, when it comes to your business, you need your own USP. The best part is? It’s something that you already know. It’s why you started a business and why you think your product deserves its spot in the market.

Answer these 4 questions
1. Why should I listen to you?
2. Why should I do business with you instead of anyone and everyone else?
3. What can your product do for me that no other product can do?
4. What can you guarantee me that no one else can guarantee?

Once you answer these questions, you’ll have your own unique USP. Once you’ve developed the basic idea, whittle it down to one sentence that you can use when anyone asks what you do. Just like Domino’s, you want to be able to say that you do something no one else can do.
