According to John:
“E + P = O
We can’t control the events (E) in our life. We can’t control the economic conditions. We can’t control the job market. We can’t control the actions of others. But we can control our positive energy and our positive actions (P) to these events and challenges and in turn this will determine the outcome (O).”
Obviously Jon’s formula isn’t always the easiest thing to use or follow. When things are difficult, frustrating and not going our way, it is easy to get down on ourselves.
For example: You spend weeks putting together a fabulous marketing piece, you’ve handpicked the list, designed a fool proof offer and a brilliant design. You send it out and wait. And wait. And wait…and nothing. Now there are 2 options.
1. You can follow the crowd and complain and moan that it’s impossible and no one wants your product and you can’t do marketing, etc
Or
2. You can put in twice the amount of positive energy and double your chances of the outcome being better. Keep trying, keep your head up and push forward.
John says it best, “If we apply the Positive Success Formula to our life I guarantee we will have a big say and influence in the outcome. Instead of letting the world create us we will have a significant role in creating our world.”
